Here's a weird one. It reminds me of the few records I own on Mille Plateaux, or to a lesser extent Mego, or even early Oval, minus the skipping cd sounds, if those laptop guys had been using Merzbow cds for source material. Repetitive, minimal, somewhat academic or "20th Century" sounding and once I got my mind into a receptive space, I actually dug this cd quite a bit. Initially hated it. Gotta open one's mind, I suppose! There are some nice piano and string instrument loops, and in the middle of Ikebukuro Dada Texture, there is what sounds like processed guitar that vaguely brings to mind black metal along the lines of Burzum or Dark Throne. The packaging is a custom sleeve of nice black paper with silver print. If you are looking for unrelenting brutality, look elsewhere, but otherwise, this is worth checking out.
