| Comments: |
Possibly the definitive Merzbow release, Pulse Demon was initially pressed in a limited edition of 3000 in an eye-assualting silver & black three panel gatefold cd case and then repressed at least twice since then with more conservative related black & white art in a standard cd case. It is one of the most widely distributed Merzbow releases, and it is one of his most impressive. Incredibly intense, the 73 minute cd rarely lets up, assualting the listener immediately with a dense wall of feedback, pulsing synths and overwhelming distortion. Broken up into 8 tracks, Pulse Demon flows solidly between the tracks and there is a thematic consistency that brings all of the material together.
