4x3"cd boxset on Ant-Zen label. Standard edition comes packaged in a day planner. The four 3" cds combined length would fit on a standard audio cd; Ant-Zen instead chose to package the promotional edition in a unusual way (see the images below) and distributed the audio on four 3" cds, just like the real edition. The relatively short durations and need to change discs to listen to the whole makes the time management theme very real for the listener, unless they do what I did and make their own full length cd-r from the audio on these discs. But then again, that act itself plays into the time management theme... The music in this set is really good and catchy material from the laptop era, post-Merzbeat. Some of it is very harsh, other tracks very rythmic. The track CD Hunter is a remix of Ab Hunter from Merzbow's 1994 classic Noisembryo. |
